Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe

Here's a recipe I found on Facebook...they sound delicious!

Maryland Crab Cakes

Ingredients:
1 large egg
2 1/2 tablespoons. Mayonnaise (Hellman's preferred)
1 1/2 teaspoons of Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/4 salt
1 stalk of finely diced celery
2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh parsley
1 lb. of Lump Crab Meat
1/2 cup of Panko Breadcrumbs
Canola Oil

Directions:
  1. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil.
  2. Mix well all ingredients together (except crab meat and breadcrumbs) in large mixing bowl. Add crab meat (check for any cartilage), Panko and gently fold together until combined making sure not to shred crab meat. Shape into 6 crab cakes and place on prepared baking pan. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat a large nonstick fry pan to medium heat and coat with canola oil. When pan is hot, add crab cakes and cook until golden brown...about 3-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve immediately with tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and lemon.
  5. Bon Appetit!
